The millennial generation is probably the most creative generation ever because of the technology that they have available to them to create and change the future. Productivity Tip of the Week
Is Multitasking Something That We Should Reconsider In The Age Of Freelancing?
The accepted wisdom in the past was that if you were a multi-tasker then your productivity would be less. The basis of this idea is that you should focus on one task at a time to get a job done rather than trying to do several jobs together.
On an individual productivity basis, I believe that this may be correct. However, the modern day freelancer is not so much a multi-tasker, but a manager of a team. Antonia Bensusan has written Why you should forget multitasking for Freelancer.com.au which you can read here.
An example of this concept is that you may want to research a topic for an article and ebook, produce an online calculator to embed in the article, hire a writer and information technology specialist while working on a weekly newsletter for your website followers.
All this is doable with the use of freelancing platforms.

There is no doubt that work-life balance is a hot topic globally and there is a wide disparity of opinions. If you are not familiar with Reddit this is what it is about here. Two of the issues that appear regularly on Reddit are the issues of work-life balance and housing affordability.

The issues of work-life balance and housing affordability are very much social issues of our time and are increasingly so as the millennial generation come into the child-bearing and family building stage of their life cycle.

For many of this generation, the key to addressing both of these issues is the rise of the freelancing economy. It can help put them in control of their work-life balance and to a certain extent housing affordability by lifting their income.

How Should Baby Boomer Parents Help Their Millennial Children With Housing Affordability?
As with many countries, city-suburban bank representation is changing towards more online services. In Australia, this is happening regularly. Recently I had to visit our local branch and found that it had moved to a shopping center.
While I was asking directions to the bank at an information desk that was promoting a Melbourne University the lady told me the story about her son and daughter in law. She told me that it can be a mistake to gift money to millennial children to help them gain a foothold in the property market.
To make a long story short, her son and daughter in law had split up and she lamented her loss of capital. It would have been far wiser to lend the money to them as a family loan.
The bank branch that I was looking for had shared this wisdom with her. I have now passed it on to you. There would be many situations like this where baby boomer parents are helping their millennial children in this way.
